Virtuoso IC6.1.8 ISR11 and ICADVM18.1 ISR11 Now Available

The IC6.1.8 ISR11 and ICADVM18.1 ISR11 production releases are now available for download at Cadence Downloads.

Here is a listing of some of the important updates made to ICADVM18.1 and IC6.1.8 for ISR11 and recent releases:

ICADVM18.1 Only

  • Pin Optimization for Make Cell (Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL)
    Use the ‘On boundary’ option on the Make Cell form to create pins on the boundary of the virtual hierarchy, ensuring the shortest possible net length, in the direction of routing.

  • Virtual Hierarchy Canvas Display (Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL)
    Select Virtual Hierarchy objects to display on the canvas using the dockable Objects panel on the Palette Assistant.

  • Virtuoso 3D Viewer, a New Product to View Mesh (Virtuoso RF Solution)
    Review the 3D mesh created by the Cadence AWR AXIEM simulator using the new Virtuoso 3D Viewer. To assist you with a detailed inspection of the mesh, the commands and assistants of this viewer allow you to customize the mesh view or to manage the visibility of layers and nets.

  • Push-and-Shove Feature in Interactive Routing (Virtuoso RF Solution) - From ISR10
    Use the push-and-shove feature to route or reroute a net in a congested environment to avoid shorts and keep the design DRC compliant.

IC6.1.8 and ICADVM18.1

  • Editing Corners in Run Plan (Virtuoso ADE Assembler) - From ISR10
    Make a corner local to the run plan so that it can be edited independently of the corners in the active setup.

  • Reusing Stress Files (Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Virtuoso ADE Assembler) - From ISR10
    Reuse a stress file from one reliability setup to another by using the Configure Stress File form.

  • Distributing Simulation Jobs (Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler) - From ISR9  
    Control thousands of netlisting and simulation jobs in parallel using the job control mode, LSCS (Large-Scale Cloud Simulations) in Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler. LSCS implements a new architecture to run simulations with better resource utilization. It also enables future scalability requirements for cloud simulations.
