Virtuoso ICADVM20.1 ISR15 and IC6.1.8 ISR15 Now Available

The ICADVM20.1 and IC6.1.8 ISR15 production releases are now available for download at Cadence Downloads. For information on supported platforms and other release compatibility information, see the README.txt file in the installation hierarchy.

• IC6.1.8 ISR15

Effective January 1, 2021, we will no longer provide incremental software releases (ISRs) for the ICADVM18.1 release stream. ICADVM18.1 ISR13 was the final ICADVM18.1 ISR released. The recommended replacement release stream for ICADVM18.1 is ICADVM20.1.

Here is a listing of some of the important updates made to the ICADVM20.1 and IC6.1.8 ISR15 releases:

ICADVM20.1 ISR15 Only

• Load and Save Connectivity for a Package Schematic (Virtuoso RF Solution)
  Save the connectivity of a package schematic to a text file by using the Module menu in Virtuoso RF Solution. Also recreate or edit the text file, if needed, or load it into another schematic cellview to restore the connectivity.

• Hierarchy-Aware Model Highlighting (Virtuoso RF Solution)
  Highlight all the shapes in an Electromagnetic model, at any level of hierarchy, even taking the cutting boundary into account.

• Integration of EMX 3D Planar Solver in EM Assistant (Virtuoso RF Solution)
  Use the Integrand EMX 3D planar solver directly from the Electromagnetic Solver Assistant in Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL.

• Creating Models for Hierarchical ICs (Virtuoso RF Solution)
  Simulate any net or instance in an Electromagnetic solver, even those that are not in the top-level cellview.

ICADVM20.1 and IC6.1.8 ISR15

• Monte Carlo Settings in Coverage Calculations for Setup Library Assistant and Coverage Summary (Virtuoso ADE Assembler and Virtuoso ADE Verifier)
  Enhance the coverage calculation to consider the Monte Carlo settings and to report them in the Setup Library Assistant.

• Running Simulations Using Auto-Synced Requirements (Virtuoso ADE Verifier)
  Use ADE Verifier as a regression tool to run simulations only using an implementation. Keep the requirements and mappings in sync with the implementation without having to manually create the requirements and mappings.
