Explore Photonics and Quantum Technologies at CadenceCONNECT 2025

28 Sep 2025 • 1 minute read

The intersection of photonics and quantum computing marks a pivotal moment in advancing technological innovation. By harnessing the power of light to control, manipulate, and represent quantum states, we are unleashing unprecedented computational power and speed. This convergence is poised to redefine industries, from medicine and materials science to finance and artificial intelligence.

What will be required to enable the creation and analysis of devices, ICs, and full systems using these two technologies? How does photonics facilitate the scaling of quantum technologies? If you are curious about the answers to these questions, join us for one or both days of our ninth annual CadenceCONNECT: Photonics event and workshop on October 22-23 at the Cadence campus in San Jose, California. Hear from industry and academic experts about how the convergence between photonics and quantum computing can drive innovation and enhance computational capabilities.

A highlight of this year’s event will be the keynote, “Progress Towards Large-Scale Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing with Photons,” from Dr. Pete Schadbolt, chief scientific officer and co-founder of PsiQuantum. While addressing the progress PsiQuantum is making toward million-error-free qubit delivery, Schadbolt will discuss how the push for very high-performance photonics to support quantum computing is mutually beneficial to both technologies.

In addition to a roundtable discussion, the event also includes speakers from AIM Photonics, Boeing, Columbia University, Hamamatsu, HRL Laboratories, imec, Quantum Computing, Inc., Rochester Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and Tower Semiconductor.
