The LIBERATE 19.2 production release is now available for download at Cadence Downloads.

For information about supported platforms, compatibility with other Cadence tools, and details of key issues resolved in the LIBERATE 19.2 release, see the README.txt file.

Here is a list of some of the important updates made to the Liberate Characterization Portfolio in this release:

  • Enhanced Bolt Job Distribution System (Liberate Trio)
Liberate offers bolt job distribution system that is robust and highly scalable for job distribution. This system allows high scalability for utilizing thousands of CPUs in parallel, including the CPUs in cloud infrastructures. It also provides performance improvements in all characterization, variation modeling, and validation runs.

  • Health Incidents Report Supported in Bolt Job Distribution System (Liberate Trio)
In this release, like the traditional job distribution platform, a client health incidents report file named client_N_HOST_health.rpt will be written automatically in the Bolt job distribution system. This file will be useful for analyzing the processes that are using up the machine resources.

  • Ascava Distillation Tool Support Available (Liberate)
Liberate is now compatible with Ascava Distillation technology that produces compression of Liberty files up to twice of what the tar or gzip utility produces, and in shorter run time. The LIBERATE 19.2 release includes a free trial of Ascava Distillation software.

  • Leakage Power Measurement Support (Liberate AMS)
The define_leakage command now provides options that let you define the time period in which power leakage should be measured.

For more details about these and all the other new and enhanced features introduced in this release, see LIBERATE 19.2 What's New.
