Training Insights — Metastability-Aware Verification: Elevate Your Signoff with JasperGold CDC App!

13 Jun 2021 • 2 minute read

I hope you enjoyed and got good insights about the Cadence® JasperGold® CDC during the previous CDC webinar "Still Relying on Static-Only CDC Signoff? Introducing the JasperGold CDC App". If you didn't have the chance to attend it, we are recommending you to visit the Training Byte webinar recording here before joining this webinar.

Clock domain crossing (CDC) issues remain a major problem for designers - contributing to a significant share of silicon respins. The purpose of CDC analysis is to identify scenarios where the design could be vulnerable to metastability effects that lead to functional failures. The same applies for Reset Domain Crossings (RDC). Conventional CDC methodologies use structural and functional protocol checks to confirm the presence of synchronizers and correct functioning of those synchronizers. But these checks alone cannot confirm complete eradication of metastability issues that can cause functional failure. To overcome this challenge, a comprehensive CDC/RDC signoff methodology should enable users to run metastability-aware functional verification with accurate modeling.

The Cadence JasperGold CDC App is a comprehensive CDC/RDC verification solution that lets you perform exhaustive structural and functional checks - and also gives you the ability to verify asynchronous logic leveraging both formal and simulation-based verification. This enables users to incorporate metastability effects directly into the design verification process, thus increasing overall signoff confidence.

In order to hear more about JasperGold CDC App and the metastability flow I am glad to invite you to join this free technical Training Webinar with Product Engineering Architect Bijitendra Mittra and Senior Application Engineer Keyliane Fernandes Silvano.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how you can use the JasperGold CDC App to successfully perform metastability-aware verification and achieve true CDC/RDC signoff.
