Hello,

I've been trying to get started with installing the cfd student software as instructed by the license file I received. Whenever I try to go to this website http://downloads.cadence.com i get a 403 error and Im not entirely sure how to solve this problem.

    Hi,
Can you please try again? Now you should have access to downloads.cadence.com with your student account.
Look for Fidelity 20231 for Windows or Linux for the installation archive. You can also download the documentation and find in there the installation instructions.

Alternatively you can find the installation instructions in support.cadence.com if you search for: Fidelity 2023.1 installation guide.

The installation guide will explain how to start the license server easily using the Admin Tool that is part of the Fidelity installation.

Could you please share here whether that helped to get Fidelity up and running?

    Best regards,
    Colinda

    Hello!

Thank you for the help. I was able to download the software and follow the instructions on the website post installation.

There is a step where I have to use the Admin tool and when I click the License ManagementI'm getting the following error:

    Hello,

That is quite an unusual error.

    • Could you please confirm the OS version (Windows or Linux and which version)?
    • Can you please also tell a bit more about your computer configuration?
    • Do you have an ethernet card ?
    • Do you have full administrator rights on the computer?

The answers to these questions will help us to identify the cause and/or work around it.

    Best regards,
    Colinda

My laptop is running windows 11 Pro version 23H2. I'm not exactly sure what information to give regarding the configuration but I have a latitude 5310 with an i5-10210U CPU

When I check my network adaptors, it says "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (10) I219-V" so I'm assuming yes, my laptop has an ethernet adaptor

Lastly, yes i have full administrator rights

    Hi,

Could you please launch the Windows Command prompt and type the command: netsh wlan show all

    What does it return?

Could you also confirm whether you are connected to a VPN?

    That looks all good.

Could you try run the Admin Tool as administrator? The Admin Tool can be found in the Windows start menu under Cadence. There you can also open its location and then run as administrator.

You could also try downloading the latest version of AT2023.2 from downloads.cadence.com and see if the issue still occurs.

    Hi,

I was able to get the admin tool working after changing my wifi network. The only problem I current have is the autorestart setting that isn't turning on. I tried running the admin tool as an administrator and it still isn't working. Is there any way to go about this?
