M_Mesh Setup 1 Error: some process did not pass initialization

Vielen Dank schonmal.

    Hi Lars,

    please see my German answer below. If okay for you, please could you answer in English please, as our conversation would be less confusing for other students, who can take advantage of your topic.

    Unfortunantely it is not obvious to say what went wrong. The seed point was my assumption in another post. Could you do please the following to things:

    1. Deactivate the parallel option in the control tab, save the project and run the mesh generation again.
    2. Open the command manager from the bottom control panel. Find the mesh generation process either in the section of the running or the finished processes. Select it. Check the output of the selected process. Use the button to copy it and paste it here.

    Best regards
    Manuel

    Wenn ich den Vernetzungsprozess auswähle, ist der Output leer.

    Hi Lars,

    I checked your vlog and I the following lines:

    NIStorage::findLocalName(FileSystem 1, c:\challenge 5 ) starts
    NIStorage::findLocalName() fs is not network file system and path c:\challenge 5 does exist
    NIProjectManager::answerCloseRequest starts from Client_lnehr_5.2-a913
    NIProjectManager::answerCloseRequest() calls session()->delayedQuit()

    It seems that for some reason the file path "c:\challenge 5" cannot be accessed by the mesh generation process.

    1. Did you save the other projects also right away under c:\ ?
    2. Did you make any changes or maybe updates with you anti virus software since the last challenge?
    3. Could you try to restart your computer (not shut down and start - the Windows restart option) and launch the mesh generation once again?
    4. If point 3 does not help:
      1. Use the save project input option, to save your project under a new file path & name (e.g. under C:\users\[your Windows user name]\Documents\challenge_3
      2. Close the project.
      3. Open the just saved project (this will ensure only the saved data is opened
      4. Launch the mesh generation again.

    Please let me know, once you have tested the points above.

    Best regards
    Manuel

    Hi Manuel and Lars,

    It would indeed be good to use a new path without blank spaces.

    Best regards,
    Colinda

    Thank you all for your help :)

    I created a new file and saved it in the same path where all the other challenges are saved. Now it works!
