Text view in read-only mode

Eric L14 over 11 years ago

Hi All,

I have created a text view.

In edit mode, my current editor (nedit) is used. But in read-only mode this is not the case, it is Cadence viewer.

What to do in order to view in read-only mode or a read-only file in nedit ?

Regards

Eric

    Vigneshwaran,

I suggest that you read the forum guidelines. Your question has absolutely nothing to do with the  old thread that you've posted on (the guidelines ask you not to do this anyway, but doing it when the question is unrelated is just silly). The original thread is asking about text views, whereas you're asking about making a specific piece of text in a layout readonly (at least I think you are).

You can't make it readonly, but you can make it unselectable (so you are less likely to change it). Use geSetSelProtection(theLabel) where theLabel is the return value of your dbCreateLabel() function call.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
