AWR doesn't seem to like noise parameters in standard s2p files

I'm new to cadence AWR and have been trying to reproduce older designs I did by hand to familiarise myself with it.  I tried one using a CEL3512K2 and the subcircuit block didn't seem to like the CEL S2P file.  I can't figure out why - looks standard to me, but it claims to have no ports or gives me an error about the file format but the header looks correct

! CEL
! CE3512K2
! N-channel HJ-FET
! Vds = 2 V Id = 10 mA
# Hz S MA R 50
! f S11 S21 S12 S22
! Hz MAG ANG MAG ANG MAG ANG MAG ANG
2000000000 0.97177219 -24.328886 5.5871382 151.12015 0.026992124 73.653381 0.57072973 -17.365152

I found a program, SdataConversion on the AWR site which claims to fix the file and I ran in my simulations but was suprised by the 0.1dB NF of the amplifier which turns out to be because SdataConversion stripped out all the noise data from the s2p file (was expecting around a 0.6dB NF) and reported "Negative character used as delimeter in file - fixed".  S11 and S21 simulated look similar to my Smith chart calculations.

It would be really helpful if AWR told me what it didn't like about the original file but is there a way to figure out the problem so I can try the noise simulations?

    Hi Alan,

Can you make a copy of the.txt file (with the noise data) provided by CEL, and change the extension to .s2p?  Then go to Project > Add Data File > Import Data File, and see if that works for you.  It works OK on my end, and I get the NF data you describe.

That almost worked, file loaded but showed with no ports, but using scripts -> data-> import and selecting 2 ports and it worked!  Not quite sure what was different, but clearly it didn't like .txt ending.
