Does AWR have a tool that automatically converts lumped element inductor to transmission line?

Hi,

I have created a lumped element diplexer using the filter wizard on AWR. ADS has a transformation tool where you can select to convert inductors to high impedance transmission lines automatically. Does AWR have this tool? When I make a lumped element diplexer there is no option for an EM layout, and no option to create a microstrip line diplexer.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Hi GT202503231457,

Yes, you can do that.  You can transfer the design automatically from wizard itself by following these steps:

    1. Click the Analyze Real tab in the Wizard.

    2. Click Generate Design in the Wizard.

To know more and check the images check the following article from ASK portal:

Ok thanks - however I mean specifically to convert a lumped element filter, such as the lumped element LP/HP diplexer, where there are no physical dimensions or options to generate an equivalent EM layout - is there a tool for this case as the above does not apply?

The process i suggested earlier with Wizard, can generate layout with all physical dimension.

If in case you have separate circuit elements and want to convert a element only then compare the element S parameter and Transmission line layout in Smith chart (use Tuner).

Ok thanks - here are some photos of what I am trying to convert. So for this lumped element, I would have to do element by element?

I can't download the images.  It's better to file a support ticket on https://support.cadence.com/ with the project/ image attached, and an available Application Engineer will follow up on the case.
