Spectre "cannot find any info on instance" problem

Hi,

I am using IC514 and MMSIM latest version. While i try to make a simple inverter to check the UMC 90nm desigkit. I couldn't able to finish simulation. When i try to netlist and run here returns a message

 ------------------------------

Netlist Error: Cannot find any info on instance "NM0" in cell-view "onurLib" "inv" "schematic"
Netlist Error: Cannot find any info on instance "PM0" in cell-view "onurLib" "inv" "schematic"
End netlisting Nov 21 23:03:40 2008
ERROR (OSSHNL): Error(s) found during netlisting. The netlist may be corrupt
 or may not be produced at all.
To generate correct netlist, fix the errors and re-netlist.
     ...unsuccessful.

 ------------------------

And here is the generated netlist

------------------------------------------------------

// Library name: onurLib
// Cell name: inv
// View name: schematic
NM0 n_10_sp
PM0 p_10_sp
V1 (vdd! 0) vsource type=dc dc=1
C0 (OUT 0) capacitor c=30f
V0 (IN 0) vsource type=pulse val0=0 val1=1 period=100n delay=0 rise=1f \
        fall=1f width=50n

------------------------------------------------------------

I have checked the included libraries ( all of them was added by default which points the designkit Spectre model).

While starting the Spectre there shows a message that indicates some of the models may need to be converted. I try to convert some of them but none of it have work.

Any help will be grateful

Thanks

     Hi,

    Have you checked the cell CDF for the cell that  "NM0"  is an instance of (and same for the "PM0" instance/cell) ?

    I think that this would be a good place to start. I not sure I would expect to see an "OSSHNL" message for instances to be netlisted using the spectre netlister, perhaps this is the problem (the wrong netlister function or method)?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

     Hi,

        I've got same problem using the umc90nm design kit and it can be remedied by editing the CDF for the respective components. After starting icfb, goto  Tools-> CDF-> Edit and select the cell. When the Edit Component CDF appears, scroll down to to Simulation info and add   D G S B to the spectre textbox.

     While this fixes the problem, I'm sure this should not happen in the first place! But I havn't found out why yet??

    Rgds
