    Hi,

Although this is not an official explanation of the syntax, one example I found shows the following syntax for the vpwlf voltage source file:

    1e-9 0
    1.1e-9 2
    1.5e-9 0.5
    2e-9 3
    5e-9 5

The time-value pairs need to be written in floating point, scientific notation or integer number formats (i.e. no scale factors [or units] like "n" or "u"). I believe multiple spaces or tabs are allowed between the entries on each line.

This information was found under the Index topic "piecewise linear (PWL) vector values"

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

Is there a way to add comments into the pwlf file?

For future reference, the forum guidelines ask you not to post on the end of old threads. This one is 12 years old.

However, it's a quick answer. You can start the line in the PWL file with "*" and it will be ignored - so that's the comment character (i.e. like SPICE).

    Andrew.
