I have Cadence 6.1.3 installed in my department.

I want to run some analyses in schematic.

For example, transient from 05B_AnalogBlockDesignOptimization tutorial of AMSKIT.

When i try to simulate, appears message that i need to write path to some libs like npn, pnp.

Simulation does not passsed.

 How can I fix errors?

     Hi,

I don't know what path you will need to put, but it looks to me as though the model library is missing from the Analog Design Environment model library form.  There is most likely just one file, let's call it "models.scs", which will need to be included.  This may also have "sections", you may wish to include the right one, or just use a default (e.g. typtyp or "TT").

    I hope that this helps.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

    Nothing changes with simulation errors.

     Hi,

do you mean the libXt.so... error? Search for this lib inside the cadence installation tree. If you find this file, add the path to the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Please take care whether you are on a 32- or 64-bit machine and choose the correct directory.

     Regards

    haiko

It should not be necessary to update your LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include any directories from the Cadence installations; this should be handled by the wrapper scripts in the installation that invoke the executables. These also take care of ensuring that either the 32 or 64 bit libraries are picked up, depending on the value of $CDS_AUTO_64BIT or passing the -64 switch on the command line.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Given the names of the missing models, I'm assuming that you may be using a "gpdk" from Cadence? If so, do you have any entries in Setup->Model Libraries in ADE? You need (as Lawrence said) to reference the model files from within the design kit. This would normally be done automatically by the code loaded when the library is opened.

What design kit are you using? Very little information to us makes it very hard to guess what your problem is...

    Regards,

    Andrew.
