ABS-235 Abstract Generator Error With Technology Data

Hello,

I am trying to buid LEF's using the abstract generator.  However when I open up the abstract generator I get "INFO (ABS-235): There are errors in the technology data that require to be resolved before proceeding to the abstract generation steps"

There are NO other errors or warnings.  I get 2 info notices however (ABS-232, ABS-234).  These just tell me that I have layers and vias defined.

I have tried recompiling and reattaching the technology library.  When I recompile, I get no errors in CIW.  How do I know what is wrong with my technology library?

Are there any work arounds?  The technology library files are a part of Cadence that I am unfamiliar with so I would rather not muck around with those too much.

Thanks!

-Dan

    Hi Dan,

If you are using the IC613 version, there is a new utility named
"DEFT" (Development Environment For Techfiles) which will assist
the development and maintenance of IC61x techfiles. This uses
Eclipse to be installed, but the documentation explains how to
    do this.

Then, using DEFT, you should get a much clearer picture about
what might be wrong, or which part might need editing.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
