Cadence ADE-XL: loading a previously saved ocean script

Hi,

I wrote out an ocean script from my ADE-XL setup, and would like to load it to restore the states, specs etc. For some weird reason (nothing to do with Cadence but the design environment I have), the spec limits are not saved in the ADE-XL file. So I need to specify spec limits each time I open the ADE-XL view new.

When I write an ocean script, I can see that this info is there. So I thought I might be able to bypass the problem by writing and reading an ocean script. However, I only see an option for saving the ocean script, but none for reading it it.

Any tips?

Thanks,

Vivek

If you are losing your spec limits in ADE XL, you should contact Cadence Customer Support. This should NOT happen. Have we discussed this before? It rings a bell...

Restoring an ADE XL view from an OCEAN script is not supported (it would be quite hard). That said, I _think_ it might be just about possible with IC614, but I've not really tried. I don't think there's a GUI for it, but I recall some discussion about a possibility to do something like this. I'd have to do some experiments when I have a moment (not right now, unfortunately).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
