What is NeoCircuit?

Hi

I got the contract that I have to find out what kind of tool NeoCircuit is! I saw only generally things about this topic, but I didn't find a specification! I already know that NeoCircuit is developed by NeoLinear but now it is a cadence software. My questions are if cadence has changed the name of this tool and where I can find a specification about NeoCircuit. What are the functions of this tool and how/where I can use this program?

regards

    Peach,

Not really sure what that question means.

Once you've set the goals for the optimisation, and the things it is allowed to vary (which you need to set up manually), you hit the run button and then it will automatically search for a result that meets the criteria you've specified.

I really suggest reading the datasheet (at least) and documentation (better) to get a fuller understanding of what the ADE XL/GXL tools do (GXL is the tier where optimisation comes in; XL is the multi-test specification driven environment). It's all built on top of the standard ADE (now called ADE L) that you're probably familiar with. The difference is that you can have multiple testbenches set up with ADE XL and GXL - so it's like optimizing over multiple testbenches at once, with corners and monte-carlo both being available too.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew.
