Virtuoso Crash IC6.1.3.500.14 (32-bit)

I’m facing serious issue with Virtuoso Crash, I experience frequent crashing (several times a day) when using Virtuoso to open a cell Which I did. For example, I did the layout using GXL and when the GXL license is not available I opened the cell by using XL. After this I’m facing this issue, it says segmentation fault and creates panic.log file.

Now I’m not able to open the layout using L/XL/GXL

    Hi Shiva,

I recommend running checkSysConf to verify that all of your patches are up to date.  I also recommend contacting support.cadence.com to file a Service Request for this issue.

For more information on checkSysConf, please see:
    http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNumber=11151170

You can get the latest checkSysConf utility from the following location:

    http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:DocumentViewer;src=wp;q=ILS/SysConfCheck/index.html

    • Or go to Cadence Online Support,
    • Support Home > Resources > Resources Home
    • Installation Information: System Configuration
    • System Configuration: System Configuration Checking Tool

    Best regards,

Please contact Cadence Customer Support via http://support.cadence.com or mailto:support@cadence.com .

What you've described below isn't really enough to diagnose this, and obviously we want to get to the root cause of the crash as soon as possible, so customer support will be the best way to do that.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew
