Unable to descend into verilogA view

Hi,

I have created a symbol from a schematic view in schematic composer. From this symbol view, I created a verilogA view of the symbol.I am using the symbol in a top-level schematic. The issue is when I am trying to descend the instantiated symbol in top-level schematic, it does not directly descend into the verilogA. Instead it descends into the symbol.Whereas I want the instantiated symbol to descend into the verilogA view directly. When I try to descend, the tool shows 'symbol' and 'verilogA' in this order which shows it is descending into the symbol by default and not into verilogA view. Please suggest me a solution.

Regards,

Ramya

     Hi Ramya,

When descending there are two choices: "query user" or "use viewname list" - if the former is selected then you would normally be prompted for which view of the cell you want to descend into, but if the latter is selected then it will follow your view name list. If you have nothing selected and then start the descend (edit/read) function (usually the "e" or "E" bindkey), then you can press the F3 key to toggle the options form, now you should be able to see the two choices above - select "query user" and you should now be able to select which view of the cell you want to descend into.

Hopefully the above suggestion will help you to solve the problem.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
