how to speed up transient analysis?

 hi,there

i have designed a large circuit and running with transient analysis, but i find that it will take a very long time, e.g. hundreds of hours, to finish the simulation. Then i read the manuals

"Virtuoso® Analog Design Environment User Guide"

"Virtuoso® Spectre® Circuit Simulator Reference"

but only to find few information about the explanation of transient setup option.

whether it is no use to change the step option? or how can i reduce the analysis time by setup some options with lower but adequate accuracy ?

Best regards

minci

    Hi minci

The easiest solution would be to use "turbo" or "aps" mode during spectre simulation. This would require the appropriate licenses. To enable these modes, please go to "ADE: Setup->High Performance Simulation". You will need spectre ver7.0 and above.

    Best regards
