geReturn

You can either use geReturnToLevel() or geReturn() to go up in a layout hierarchy. Is there any way to go directly up to the top level in your layout with a Cadence bindkey, like the user can do in a schematic (where schHiReturnToTop() exist)? Thanks, Helena

     Hi Helena,

    Not to my knowledge, but you can call leReturn() (or geReturn()) exhaustively until you are at the top, and you could encapsulate this in a function if you wanted.  For example I just tried:

    procedure(myReturnToTop(@optional verbose) let( ((cnt 0)) while(leReturn() cnt++ ) ;; verbose is 'nil' by default when(verbose printf("Returned %d times\n" cnt) ) t ;; return 't' ); let ); procedure myReturnToTop(t) => t Returned 2 times ;; printed output (not returned) myReturnToTop() => t

     So you could set a new bindkey to the above function (or something similar) for this behaviour.

    I hope that this helps!

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
