ADE is unable to plot the results

 I have an very big analog decoder and therefore psf file tends to be bigger than 2G, which I break to 2G parts. Simulation runs very smoothly but at the end when it is time to plot the waveforms it generates an error

 *Error*   Trying to plot expression <VT("/c6" "/opt/Kaamran/nmobini/test_D_core/spectre/schematic")>, which does not evaluate to an object that can be plotted, like waveform or parametric wave. Please refer to the Wavescan User Guide to see what all types of objects can be plotted in Wavescan. Expression which evaluates to only those type(s) of objects can be plotted.

 I cannot even see the results in Results Browser.

How can I fix this error.

Thank you in advance.

    Which simulator? Which version? How are you breaking into 2G pieces? Which IC version (including subversion)?

    This will help narrow down the problem and give you the right solution. Otherwise I (or anyone else) would have to guess all possible scenarios - which could be rather time consuming.

    Regards,

    Andrew

     To answer your questions I just copied below lines

    Program:                @(#)$CDS: icfb.exe version 5.1.0 09/22/2009 01:17 (cicln04) $

    Sub version:            sub-version 5.10.41.500.6.139 (32-bit addresses)

    Cadence (R) Virtuoso (R) Spectre (R) Circuit Simulator

    Vesion 7.1.1.140.isr8 32bit -- 23 Jun 2009

    And the tech staff at Ryeson Univ. has changed the seting to make the breaking to 2G pieces possible.

    I also get this warrning when I open Virtuoso  ADE

    <COM.cadence.awd.graph.GraphManager@131303f>

     Problem in attempting to load data forGraphObject={title=*,

     cursorPos=null, ID=trc:5555373.27}

    null

    Best,

    Nastaran

    Assuming that the environment variable set is:

    setenv PSF_WRITE_CHUNK_MODE_ON true

    and the file format is actually PSF not SST2 (you can check this by looking at the contents of the logFile in the psf directory) and the PSF results do indeed appear to be split into 2G chunks,  then it may be you've hit the 32 bit limit - the individual waveforms may be too large. What is the process size of the icfb session when the error occurs?

    Just to check though, can you do an "ls -al /path/to/psf" and post it here?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
