Graph results curtailed for long simulations

Hi,

I'm having the problem that when I run a long transient simulation in ADE-L (for example, 1s long), although the simulation completes, the results which are automatically plotted at the end of the simulation are cut off after about 18ms. The point at which it cuts off seems to be the same across different cells/test benches (restarting doesn't help). Previously I've been able to see the results of long simulations.

Any suggestions how to resolve this would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi Sim,

Can you try setting the psfbin as the format and see if it helps. You can enter the following in .cdsinit file or CIW window :
    envSetVal("spectre.envOpts" "simOutputFormat" 'string "psfbin")

It may be related to the following solution :

In any othe case, please let us know which icfb(virtuoso) version you are using.

    Regards,
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,

Thanks for drawing my attention to this. It certainly looks like the problem I have, except I'm already on version 6.1.3, which is above the level of the hotfix listed. All the same, when I try the workaround:

    envSetVal("spectre.envOpts" "simOutputFormat" 'string "psfbin")

    It responds:

*WARNING* envSetVal: Can't set the value of variable 'simOutputFormat', in tool[.partition] 'spectre.envOpts' - it has not been registered.

Would anyone know what's going wrong with setting this environment variable?

    Thanks very much

    Sim Bamford

Sorry - I just found the answer to that last question. It should be:

    envSetVal("spectre.outputs" "simOutputFormat" 'string "psfbin")

     Cheers

    Sim

    Hi Sim,

Yes, there is a slight change in the variable for IC61.

The earlier variable which I mentioned earlier was for IC5141 .

    Regards,

    Sunil
