Equation conversion from HSPICE

Hi, I have a FinFET parameter file and it is for HSPICE. I need to convert the following equation that seems to be a Behavioral Voltage Source to be able to simulate with spectre. Ep1 PVgf PVgf1 VOL = 'plambda1*(-1(........ I looked at the bsource, but i am not quite sure if it is possible. Can someone help?

You've given so little information that it's really hard to know what to answer. It may not need a bsource - or it might - it depends on the expression. Since you didn't give the expression, it's not possible to answer. If the expression is just a function of parameters and constants, then it could be just done with a vsource. If it's a function of other node voltages or branch currents, then a bsource would be the way to do it.

You might even be able to use the syntax as-is in spectre (I've not tried, as I don't have an example) as it can use a lot of SPICE syntax directly.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thanks for the reply. The equation is a function of parameters that I have defined and inputs to the FinFET terminal(front gate, source, drain and back gate). So according to your post I think it is a bsource, isn't it? If so, then i have been looking at the spectreref manual for couple of hours and i am not sure if it is possible. I have another question. Is it possible to include two separate files in one sub circuit? Thanks
