Failed to get MPS handle

 HI,

my cadnce was working properly before I started to run 130nm. My mistake was  runnng cadnece using the command 'startCds -t cmosp13'  in my home directory, so it made a lot of craches in my account. The last error I got was 'failed to get MPS handle' which was solved when I changed the wavscan to AWD. But the point is that, I can not make table using AWD which was a very powerful option in Wavescan. 

I was wondering if any body knows how to fix this error or how to get a table from AWD? 

Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Morteza

    Actually I have no problem in getting the table for frequency vs vdd. Here are my steps:

    a. Set transient simulation and run parameteric analysis for VDD variable
    b. In AWD calculator, press "vt" and select my output net
    c. Apply special function "frequency" so that I get an expression similar to "frequency(VT("/out"))"
    d. Press "printvs" button and set the range according to my vdd variable. E.g. if I had swept vdd from 2V to 3V in steps of 0.1, I will enter these values in the form
    e. Press ok and the table appears

    Please let me know if I am not understanding your question correctly. By the way, since wavescan is working properly now, please use wavescan instead of AWD.

    My guess is that your environment has been set up such that the actually "icfb" binary is not in your user path. Only the wrapper "startCds" is present and so you can only use "startCds" to launch Virtuoso. You can also check the version of Virtuoso if you go to any "Help" menu and select "About icfb".
