    Hi Preetisudha

Delay between 2 signals can be calculated using the "delay" function from the calculator. Please see "delay" function description in $CDSHOME/doc/wavescanug/wavescanug.pdf. You can calculate power as follows:

    a. Run simulation with vdc=0 voltage source inserted serially with the vdd net of your block
    b. Go to "ade-L:Results->Annotate->DC operating points"
    c. Multiply the current through the voltage source with the value of vdd

When posting a question related to simulation, it would be great if you can provide the following 2 pieces of info so that we can come up with the most appropriate answers:

    terminal>icfb -W
    terminal>spectre -W

    Best regards

    Hi Preetisudha

Just a quick check, you have already ran a DC simulation, right? : )

Yes Quek i have run DC simulation.... but that button is not enabled....

can i multiply the voltage with the respective current in DC the curve to find the power?

    Regards,

    Hi Preetisudha

P=IV so you can certainly multiply voltage by the current of the block to obtain the power consumed by the block. In the DC analysis form, did you enable the "Save DC operating points" button? May I know the version of icfb and spectre which you are using?

    terminal>icfb -W
    terminal>spectre -W

    Hi Preeti

You can save DC operating points as follows:
    a. In the ADE-L window, go to "Analyses"
    b. Select "DC"
    c. In the form, there is a button that says "Save DC operating points"
    d. Enable the button

By the way, it is actually not quite useful to simply know that you are using IC613. This is because there are now 18 sub-versions for IC613 and so if this is a bug case, we would not be able to know if the bug has already been fixed in the version which you are using. E.g. you might be using IC613.502 and the bug might have been fixed in IC613.518. So it would be great if in future, you can provide the output of the following cmd:

    terminal>virtuoso -W

Thanks a lot Quek....I got the output and the power too....u have spend a lot time 4 me....thanx for that....

    terminal>spectre -W gave me the o/p sub-version  6.2.1.345....

    Hi Preetisudha

Spectre621 is already quite out-dated. If it is possible, please upgrade to the latest spectre72. : )
