Text output on Cadence Composer

I have a schematic that consists of several symbols created by me. On some of these symbols, I changed the pin order, pin definitions etc from what it was defined with initially (but before using them in the schematic). Alongside these symbols, I get a bunch of text output saying " Date, Deleted Pins ...  Added inputOutput Pins ... " etc. How can I remove this from the schematic and disable them from being shown on the schematic ?

Best regards,

-Vijay

    Hi Vijay

May I know if these are the steps which you have used?

    a. Create a symbol for a cellview
    b. In the symbol cellview, remove a pin, rename a pin, etc
    c. Place the symbol in another schematic
    d. There are now text outputs besides the symbols saying "Date ..."

I am trying to re-create the problem but can't seem to get it.

Would you please provide the following info? When posting a question, please always provide this info as it is quite important. : )

    terminal>icfb -W
    OR
    terminal>virtuoso -W

    Best regards

    Vijay,

My guess is that you've done Create CellView from CellView to create the symbol, and then done it again (after adding/deleting pins on the schematic) having chosen the "Modify" option. When you do this, it annotates the symbol with some labels to inform the user what has been done.

If this is the case, open the symbol (you can do this at the time of doing the Create CellView from CellView) in edit mode, and delete the annotations. Having done that, they won't appear when you place the symbol.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
