Cadence 5: Change path width with bindkey

frogconsultant

Without the possibility to change the default width to the correct value in the PDK, I am trying to develop a bindkey in cadence 5.1.41 which will do the trick.

hiSetBindkey("Layout" "<Key>F11" "leHiEditProp() width->value=130")

After selection of the path, I am hitting the "F11" I have the property form opening but the following is not interpreting. Does someone know how to affect the width after that?

Best regards

    Hi imaneet,

    I believe you may be correct.

    The create path command has been simplified (and superseded by the create wire command).

    Also, you  may have noticed that it is not possible to change layers anymore with the create path command.

    I assume you are using VLS-L.

    If you are using VLS-XL there are lots of different ways that can be achieved by invoking the Wire Assistant but it is not available in "L"

    So, assuming you are using L:

    Use the create wire command (create wiring-> wire) , it will remember any new widths you use when changing layers.

    You can change the values with (R.M.B) change width, and the different values will be remembered.

    You can also change layers automatically with the space bar (auto generates a via) or RMB via up/down.

    Hope this helps
