running simulations over different corners

archive
archive over 15 years ago

Our foundry has model files that require several sections to be specified in the ADE Setup> Model Librarires. There is a separate section for each of  the fast, slow and typical corners. So that switching between two corners is very tedious (even when using the enable/disable feature in the Model library setup window). I was wondering if there is an easy way to switch between different corners without having to manually do the updates?

 Best regards,

-Vijay

    Hi Vijay,

You didn't mention which version you're using - which helps because it's very different between IC5141 and IC61X.

In IC5141 you could use Tools->Corners (assuming you have the license). In IC61 you'd use ADE XL to set up the corners.

Also in IC614 ADE L will parse the model files in the model libraries form and give you a cyclic field of available section names, which minimises the typing and risk of mistakes.

    Regards,

    Andrew
