Assura - directing the output

Hi,

I am using the Assura tool to write layout data.  The DRC function employes the ?outputErrorLib parameter and I would like to be able to define the cell and cell view to which this data is written.  I suspect there is a parameter I am missing or an option to the paramter I am using which I am missing.  (Cadence 5.x)

This is somwhat of a follow on to my previous post.  Many thanks in advance,

John Wilwert

    Hi John

Please use outFile function to direct the output to a DFII cellview. : )  It is also available on the DRC form.

    Best regards

    Quek,

    Thanks for the prompt response.

I'm looking to specify the cell name for the output data.  I see how to specify the library and that is working - maybe I'm missing the place where you specify the cell name.  Is this possible, or am I missing something here?

    Again, THANKS!

    Hi John

Sorry that I have misread your question. It is not possible to specify the cell and view name. The output cells will always take on the names of the original cells. You can however specify cell suffix/prefix in the outFile form. Hope that this might help a little even though it might be a little different from what you are looking for. : )  There is actually a function named avSetOutputName which might do what you want but I am not sure if it is still supported.

    Best regards
    Quek
