Options/Display - Shape information

Hi Cadence Community, I have my first question in this forum. In IC5.1 there was an option to display shape information in the corner of the screen. This is a "Shape information" check-box. When we move cursor touch any object then at the corner of current window will show all information of shape as : Layer-Shape(rectangle, polygon,..) How can I make this thing with skill code? Please help me know. Thanks, Q

    Yes, the leRegUserObjectSelectionFilter() function slipped my mind for this, since I have used it for filtering as opposed to displaying shape information, but it certainly could be used for that.  Please bear in mind that the registered function will be called as a pre-filter for every shape/instance that the mouse, so you will need to be careful that the function is quick/small otherwise it may add too overhead and make the tools appear sluggish.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

    Hi Liahuro

    Just to add on a little to the suggestions given, actually previously I have also wanted to eliminate the step of displaying the properties form in order to know more about shape/cell properties. Hence I wrote a skillscript to display the info of a selected object in the upper left hand corner of a schematic/layout window. Simply load the script in ciw and select any object. Hope that it can help you. : )  It works for both IC5141 and IC614.

    Best regards
    Quek

    Hi Liahuro

    You can use "leZoomToSelSet()".

    Best regards
