Stretch no longer moves a selected object

In IC5.1, with the edge of a polygon selected, or a segment of a path, AND an object selected (like a via), stretch would stretch not only the edge/segment but the object would move in unison. Makes sense, works great!

In IC6.1 this is no longer the case. The object doesn't move. This is true in Layout and XL. Is there a setting to fix this?

Why does Cadence insist on changing things that work perfectly?

Their response would, "Customers asked for this."

Baloney! I'm a customer too and I would never have asked for this.

    I found it.

Toggle the leHiStretch settings window (hiToggleEnterForm()) to be visible.

Change the Keep Connected setting to None.

Now objects will move with the stretch.

Not only is that non-intuitive, but poorly defaulted.
