Which node is controlling the timestep?

I have seen versions of spice that will give you (for each time point) the node that set the timestep - essentially telling you where to invest your macromodeling effort to speed up simulation.

Is there any way to get such information from spectre?

It really would be useful to know which node is slowing down the simulation. Is there any way to get such information. some versions of spice can be run in debug mode and report, for each timepoint in the simulation, which node controlled the timestep value. If a particular node shows up consistently, one can thing about using a macro-model for that portion of the circuit. If there is a way, please let us know.. Thanks!
