Plotting Vds,sat with the calculator ?

Hello,

Is there a way to plot operating points like Vds,sat with respect to some variable using the calculator (time in transient analysis, DC sweep, etc)?

 Thank you,

Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume,

Just noticed this long standing question - it's frequently asked, and I'm sure there's a solution for this on Cadence Online Support. Anyway, the general approach is to create an ASCII file:

    save M0:vdsat

(the :vdsat could be :gm or :oppoint to get all oppoint parameters - see "spectre -h save" for more details - you can also give wildcards in the last few MMSIM releases). M0 is the name of the transistor I'm referring to.

Then include this file in your simulation via the Setup->Model Libraries in ADE.

After running the simulation, you will be able to find the saved op point data in the results browser (under your tran, dc etc analysis).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
