Setup MC & Export MC Analysis Results automatically (ic5141usr6isr3, mmsim71)

Hello Cadence Community,

I have two questions regarding the monte carlo advanced analysis tool.

First of all: every time I start up the monte carlo dialog (from ADE) the settings are "Number of Runs 100" and the checkbox for "saving values between runs to allow familiy plots" is not asserted. Is there a environment variable or command in the .cdsinit which automatically sets de default number of runs to 500 for example and by default checks the option to save the values betweens runs?

Secondly after running a monte carlo simulation is there a possibility to automatically export all evaluated results into .csv files? Currently I have to copy one equation after the other into the calculator and from there start the tabular result display, wait for a long time for the equation te be evaluated and then select where to save the file. Can't this be done directly by using OCEAN or SKILL commands right after the simulation ended (for exmaple be altering the .runSimulation or input.scs file)?

 Kind regards,
Dominik Ruck

    Hi Dominic,

There's no option to default the number of runs (in IC61 it is remembered though as part of the view in ADE XL, so you only have to do it once).

In IC61 (in ADE XL)  you have the ability to export a CSV file. In IC5141 you do have the "mcdata" file which gets produced in the simulation output dir - see Cadence Online Support Solution 11026072 - this gives some SKILL to access and post-process the mcdata file.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
