Monte Carlo analysis: How find what parameters change?

Hi all,

When I run a Monte Carlo analysis, how can I find what is the parameters change? Can I find a file where for each simulation (exemple, the 100th run ) there is the device which changes ?

 Thanks,

If using IC61, you can do this. In ADE XL, under the options form for ADE XL you can ask it to save both process and mismatch data. Which version are you using? (both IC and MMSIM)

    Andrew.

    Hi Loic,

Are you running with a spectre test or an ADE test? That said, I believe the process data is saved anyway (look in the monteCarlo dir in the simulation results, and it should have a processData and processParams file), but I don't think mismatch data will be saved (the issue is whether you can add savemismatchparams=yes onto the montecarlo analysis statement in the netlist; I suspect not, but I want to save myself time by knowing how you're running VSDE). Also, you may not be interested in the mismatch parameters (this is how the parameters vary for each instance of the models), and if so, you may already have your answer from what I've just said.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

     Hi Andrew,

I use an ADE test. I  did not see a process data file in my monteCarlo directory, i have a process.param file but it is empty. In VSDE,I  don't see the option "savmismatchparams"...

    Hi Loic,

Unfortunately I don't think there's a way of doing this in VSDE, sorry. You could hack the input.scs that's generated, I guess, and run the simulation from the command line, maybe.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
