Amount of transistors

Hi

Probably my question is too elementary but nevertheless.
How to define an amount of transistors in the project?

Regards

Slawa

    Hi Slawa,

I don't really understand what your question means. What would it mean to "define an amount of transistors"?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Slawa,

You could write a bit of SKILL code to traverse the hierarchy and count them. Or you could netlist the entire design and send it to a simulator such as spectre/aps or ultrasim which will give you a circuit inventory at the state.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

also every Simulator reports a device statisic

    e.g. for Spectre

                 Circuit inventory:
                  nodes 305
                bsim3v3 305
              bsource_1 2
              bsource_2 2
              bsource_3 2
              capacitor 4
                isource 1
               resistor 4
                vsource 7
