How to evaluate the noise in the transient noise analysis?

I want to calculate the noise of my circuit (a regulator). I use the small signal noise analysis at first. But it seems very different with the measurement results. So I try the transient noise analysis. How to evalue the noise from the simulation results (waves)? Do the frequencies (fmin, fmax) belog to additional noise or the internal noise of the circuit?

Thank you at advance!

I saved the simulation results and import it to the matlab. I can gain the histogram by hist() now. Which parameter is related to the noise? The std or anathing else? Should I delete the signal from the results?

When you do transient noise, you do not get the noise separate from the signal - the noise is part of the signal, because it could come from lots of different places (which could affect timing and feedback loops, so it may deviate from an ideal signal considerably (imagine a sigma delta modulator where the noise is influencing the loop - the signal you get after a period of time will be very different, because of the nonlinear effect of the circuit.

In terms of how to set the parameters for transient noise, this is covered in the simulator documentation.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
