     Zfeng,

Why would typing something once in the CIW alter the default configuration? It will only change it for that session. If you add the statement to your .cdsinit file, it will set it up on each launch of virtuoso.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello,

Is anybody know what is the difference (if any) of these two approcah to set switch view list:

    1- envSetVal("spectre.envOpts" "switch View List" ....

    2 - asiSetEnvOptionVal(asiGetTool('spectre) "switchViewList" .......

    regards,

    Fabrice

    Hi Fabrice,

Other than one expects a space-separated string and the other expects a list, it doesn't make much difference which you use.

The main difference is that to use the asiSetEnvOptionVal, you have to call asiGetTool which will load all the relevant context files to initialize the spectre interface, whereas envSetVal doesn't require anything to be loaded. So it will be a bit quicker in the .cdsinit (and not load contexts that you may never need if you were just doing layout).

So I'd use the envSetVal approach (it's more consistent with other settings to use this rather than an ADE-specific interface).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
