Matlab RF/Spectre Toolbox

 Hello,

i'm working with Virtuoso 6.1.4 and ADE XL. I want to use Matlab scripts to process the data after simulation. I can add a Matlab script in the ADE XL results tab and it works fine (i can plot stuff, ..) but i can't use the function cds_srr to import the signals. The paths are correctly, Matlab find the cds_... functions.

If I execute cds_srr(....), the following error message occurs:
-> undefined function or method 'cds_innersrr' for input arguments of type char

The function cds_innersrr.m doesnt exists in the directory, there is only a mex file.

I'm using Matlab 2010a.

Does anyone has an idea what to do?

Thanks alot!

     Hi Ante,

This is a known issue with Linux and MMSIM 10.1. It should work with MMSIM 7.2 (which does support R2010a and b).  Please contact Cadence Customer Support so we investigate this.

    Best regards,

    Tawna

    Hi Ante,

In addition to what Tawna says, you also need to ensure that $LD_LIBRARY_PATH includes:

      setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH `cds_root spectre`/tools/lib/64bit:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

If running on a 32-bit machine (or running 32 bit matlab), you'll need to miss out the 64bit part of the path.

This is needed if you're running MMSIM72 or earlier. As Tawna said, the Spectre Toolbox in MMSIM101 doesn't currently work due to a compiler incompatibility with Matlab.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Nevinalex1234,

Yes, this issue has been resolved. Please refer to the following COS Solution -

    http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNumber=11699006

As far as your original post yesterday, as Andrew and others have mentioned many times, please mention which MMSIM version you are using and which Matlab Version you are using in that post.

    With Regards,

    Ashish
