optimizing

Is it possible for the circuit optimizer to

optimize Monte Carlo results?

I am just optimizing a latched comparator,

changing  W and L  and  try to minimize the

offset which comes out of  a 100 run Monte Carlo simulation

Thanks & Regards

You didn't say which version you were using, but if using IC614, you can use ADE GXL. This has things like yield optimization which will allow you to optimize to maximize yield (so you'd set up a specification, i.e. a goal, on the offset, and it can then try to optimize the circuit so that it doesn't have failures during monte carlo due to the specifications not being met).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
