Layout XL pointing to wrong schematic Design

Hi all:

I am working on the layout of my chip right now, and I am coming across something peculiar...In the library manager I copied my design cell to a new cell with a different revision. In the old cell, I have done partial layout of the cell in Layout XL. In the new cell, I fire up the layout of the chip, and open with Layout XL, and when I try to cross probe, it is pointing to the schematic of the older cell, rather than the newer cell. How can I correct this error? Thanks so much for your help!

You'd need to traverse all the cells, and call lxSetConnRef() with appropriate arguments for each. See the documentation for details on using this function.

Take a look at Solution 11420192 which provides a way to trigger it to do the update during the copy (in IC5141; it shouldn't be necessary in IC61X versions as it should do it anyway - you didn't say which version you're using). Or Solution 11267054 which gives you some code to update the connectivity source for everything in a library.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
