Ocean script and states files

Hi All,

I would like to run through an ocean script multiple test benches which have the schematic in common but different state files. Is it possible with ocean to run mulitple states by loading them sequencially? If yes, could someone give me a few ocean lines in order to proceed?

Regards,

Fabian

    Hi Fabian,

We have a set of enhancement requests asking for this, the master being 667317. Currently it can't be done (without using private functions, and even then it's messy) from OCEAN.

You can of course loop through a bunch of OCEAN scripts, simulating each design. But not opening each state and doing them separately.

ADE XL may be another way of achieving this - effectively grouping all your "tests" together, and then being able to simulate them as a whole.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

I understand from your email that ADE XL could run through multiple states. Could you explain me how to proceed to be able to do multiple states simulation with ADE XL? I believe that the outputs are dumped as separate directories per state.

    Thanks in advance,

    Fabian
