No output was requested. (However, saving signal `vddd!'.)

 Hello all,

I am using spectre (IC5141) alone to simulate a netlist. In order to save disk space I put  "saveOptions options save=none" in the netlist and capture the required data by verilogA. However, simulator still record the transient signal of a node and warn this behaviour in the log file as following.

No output was requested.  (However, saving signal `vddd!'.)

Is there any way to stop spectre of recoding the useless signal?

 Thanks,

Ali

    saveOptions options save=nooutput

should do this. Note however that this completely disables any saving - so you can then turn it back on in particular analyses. The reason why "none" outputs a single signal is historical - due to the way the results output is architected - and saving a single arbitrary signal was a workaround because of the architectural limitatio.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
