Hi, Anybody know how to import cif file into virtuoso 6.1.3? I couldn't find the CIF option when I go to import option. Sorry to bother.

     Hi wudiyyn,

    support for CIF has been dropped from 6.1  onwards;

    so, there are two possibilities to import CIF:
    - use an older release to import your CIF-File (and, if it's 5.xx,
    export it as GDS2, then import the GDS2 into 6.1.3)

    - use an external tool to convert CIF to GDS2;
    ever heard about KLayout? It's an open-source GDS2-viewer,
    easily to install and to run on Windows, available for Linux too.
    See www.klayout.de

    The current version can read CIF and save it to GDS2.

    Hope this helps

    Stefan
