Regular expressions in a schematic search

J Wilwert

Hi,

I want to use regular expressions in the schematic search tool - "Schematic Find".  As an example I want to find all schematic references of instances other than from libraries X and Y.  How do I do this using the popup schematic search tool in Cadence 5.14?

Thanks,

John Wilwert

    Hi John

    It is not possible to do it because the user expression in the search tool is meant to be just a single word. You would need to use a skillscript to do it. A simple top level search can be done using the following:

    procedure( mySearch()
       let( (cv target)
          cv=geGetWindowCellView()
          target=setof(x cv~>instances (x~>libName != "libX" && x~>libName != "libY"))
          geSelectFigs(target)
       ) ;let
    ) ;procedure

    Best regards
    Quek

    Thanks for your reponse on this issue. (Frankly, I had given up hope that anyone would repond!)  I'll work with th escript you have provided - I'm certain it will work!

    Again, THANKS!
