How to import CST or HFSS result into Cadence Spectre?

Hi!
I am new to RFIC design. I wanna do a simulation for a whole RF transceiver including the antenna and the wave propagation. And I am now just in the stage of system level design. (After finish the system verification, I will do the transistor level design.)
If I design an antenna in CST or HFSS. How can I import their result inot Cadence spectre?
If without the sepecific character data of antenna, I think I cannot make sure that my transceiver can work well.

    Hi Patrick,

I would model the antenna using s-parameters and import the s-parameter file via the nport component.

You would need to read the nport appNote available on Cadence Online Support http://support.cadence.com or

read these blogs that I wrote. Setting the nport correctly and having good data is key to getting reasonable results.

Nport Application Note has been Updated and Re-Released

My Favorite nport Settings for Spectre and SpectreRF

    Best regards,
    Tawna

I have a transformer designed using HFSS. Can yuo suggest me the steps to import the S parameters to cadence.

Use nport from analogLib - specify the number of ports, and the filename, and that's pretty much it. You might also want to consider using the "bbspice" interpolation method (available on the form). Make sure you're using a recent MMSIM version for simulation. Also, please don't post on 4 year old threads (the forum guidelines make this very clear)
