i am designing a certain IC that has an internal feedback (based on transisto level), how can I make initialization for the internal feedback?, as it makes the simulation locked.

    Hi Sam

In ADE-L, you can use "Simulation->Convergence Aids->Initial Condition" to set the initial voltage values for spectre simulation.

    Hi Quek:

It did not solve the problem, the simulation still gets locked once i apply the feedback, but if
I break the feedback the simulation is working properly but the result has to based on the feedback.
    any clue?!

    Hi Sam

Does "simulation gets lock" means that spectre hangs during simulation or spectre gives convergence error? May I have the following info?

    terminal>spectre -W

    Best regards
    Quek

    Hi :

I do not know where is this information terminal>spectre -W?

but what I mean it is like the attached photo, where 2 inputs and gate, oneof the inputs is the inverted output, so it looks like a locked loop?

    Hi Sam,

What Quek is asking for is the result of typing "spectre -W" at the Unix terminal (without the quotes) - this will show the version of the Spectre simulator.  I'm not sure why that caused you any confusion?

    regards,
    Lawrence.
