Snaping on StreamIn

JustinAtmel

I am trying to use the snap to grid feature of StreamIn to clean up my design.  It fails to do anything.

I think one reason could be my tech library has dbuPerUU set 1000 but the GDS value is 100000, however if I try to set this option on the streamIn form to the GDS value it does not help.

Maybe there's a better way to do this any ideas would be appreciated using  IC6.1.5.500.2

Thanks Justin

    Hi Justin

I just tried snapToGrid feature in IC615.500.2. It worked fine for me. My offgrid gds file with 10,000 dbuPerUU was snapped to tech dbuPerUU of 2000. It might be good for you to file a service request to investigate this more thoroughly. I think using snapToGrid feature to do offgrid correction is fine. Other methods include:

    a. Using skillscript on the imported layout
    b. Using a verification such as Assura to read in the data and output an ongrid data. geomSnap cmd can be used to do this

    Best regards
