Unable to create ROD shapes in Layout

I cannot create rectangles in the layout as ROD. The documentation on ROD says selecting Create Rectangles should pop up a form enabling me create rectangle in ROD.However When I select Create -> Rectangles in the layout editor, I am asked to click on the corners of the rectangles directly, without the option to specify if the rectangle is a ROD. I think I am missing some setting which enables the creation of ROD objects.

Hi F3 after you start creating the rectangle - this will bring up the "options" form for Create Rectangle.  You can get these options forms to appear automatically by going to Options->User Preferences (in the CIW) and checking "Options Displayed when commands start" - although it probably gets annoying after a while - this is sometimes referred to as "novice" mode and then "expert" mode is where the options forms don't appear by default and you have to toggle them with F3 (or double click Right Mouse in IC61X; I think it's double click middle mouse in IC5141).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
