how to unlink library cells

Hello,

Is there a way to "unlink" library cells in Virtuoso Layout without flattening these components of without copying them first or something?

Thanks in advance,

Claes

    Hi Claes,

I think that there have been no responses to your question because it is not clear what you are asking!

Let me answer your question with questions to try to clarify what you mean. First, what do you mean by "unlink"; how are 'library cells' linked and to what?  I cannot work out if you are talking about the technology that a layout is inherently associated with, or if you are talking about hierarchy, or something else entirely.  How would flattening the cells help - even the mention of this does not yield any clues?

Sorry, you will need to supply more information, or perhaps pictures, and it's always a good idea to mention the version of the tools you are using (as I've said in another post recently, I guess you didn't see it?)

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
